About Me

My photo
Greg
I got into radio broadcasting as a way to share the music that I love with our listeners. My interest in blues music is mostly the post war stuff, 1945 - current. Basicly when they plugged in their guitars and harmonicas and let it wail. I like a lot of acoustic blues music too, but I'm not a purest by any stretch. My earliest blues enfluences were John Mayall, Savoy Brown and some of the other British invasion bands. Like a lot of baby boomers I kind of worked backwards in discovering blues music. I started with the blues influenced rock bands and worked myself back to their influences. I have a long list of favorite blues artists, but for me the Chess records stuff is hard to beat. Here's a short list of some of my favorite artists. You'll hear these artists and a lot more of my favorites every Thursday morning. Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, Charlie Musselwhite, T-Bone Wlaker, Freddy King, BB King, Gatemouth Brown
